St Albans jazz jam

The St Albans jazz jam meets at the Portland Arms, Portland Street, St Albans, on the last Thursday of each month. The jam is there to provide somewhere for local jazz players to meet and play with different lineups. It continues to bring together a fine selection of local talent and has proved to be a valuable resource for beginners and pros alike. The resident trio is guitar/ vocals, sax and bass and the material is mainstream jazz from the likes of Duke Ellington  and Fats Waller.
